A chemical peeling treatment is a technique in which a strong chemical (appropriate concentration), which is normally acidic, is applied to the skin to remove the upper layer and replace it with a smoother skin below. Therefore, it is also called exfoliation of the skin.

What is the procedure like?
Once your skin is cleansed, a gel/ fluid is applied with an applicator and allowed to rest on the client's skin for a specific duration. Later the client’s skin is cleansed and neutralised.
Some peels are applied to the surface of your skin and you go home with them, letting them stay on for longer hours.
When do I see the results?
It depends on the skin-some results are displayed immediately and others are displayed over a long period of time after repeated sessions.
Post-treatment care tips
- Aerobic exercise or vigorous physical activity should be avoided for the first 48hours
- Avoid direct sunlight immediately after treatment
- Sunscreen of SPF 30 or greater should be applied
- Cleanse your face with water or a mild cleanser.
- The treated area must be moisturised 2-3 times a day
- Peeling, rubbing, or scratching the treated area must be avoided
